Tilt and Turn Windows

Tilt and Turn Windows

The Polar Windows easy to operate tilt and turn window has great contemporary looks, let's in bags of light and can open fully to let as much fresh air in to your home as you want. The tilt and turn function on these windows are very easy to use, and offer high security to any room in your home.

Easy To Operate

Our tilt and turn windows are incredibly easy to operate. A simple quarter turn of the handle allows you to tilt the windows inwards using the hinges on the bottom of the windows. Then another quarter turn upwards allows you to fully open the window inwards using the side hinges.

Building Regulations

The tilt and turn window is especially useful in the upper floors of a property. This is because building regulations in Scotland state that rooms not on ground floor level must have windows that can operate as exits incase of fire. Building regulations also state that you must be able to stand inside your home and clean the outside of your window. None of the above regulations would be met if for example a non-opening window was installed above ground floor level, therefore a tilt and turn window is ideal for upstairs bedrooms etc.

    DID YOU KNOW ...

The advantages of a property installed Polar product are :

Energy Cost Savings: The airtight construction of a double glazed window creates thermal insulation which reduces the flow of heat coming in or going out of your double glazed unit which uses less energy in heating up or cooling down the space which results in lower energy costs.

Sound Insulation: Our double glazed windows improve sound insulation by creating a barrier between the outside environment and your home.

Reduced Condensation: Moisture from a warm surface can form droplets of water which when at low temperatures freeze into frost, this can make your room feel colder which would make the occumpants adjust there heating, the air between the 2 panels of glass in turn with the airtight seal prevents condensation which blocks moisture in cold weather.

Safety: Double glazed windows are tougher to break than a single pane window which increases the security of the home because they sealed tighter than other windows. Also our double glazed windows are more robust and secure which will make it a lot tougher to force entry.
